Last Sunday he was pretty fussy and we tried all the usual things, but noticed about a week before, the drool started coming. He has always loved his hands, but his hands, fingers and, thumbs have been in his mouth constantly, and anything else he can shove in there to make his gums feel better. He has little swollen bumps on the bottom his mouth and I can actually feel the teeth just below his gums now. We'll see if they come out soon or go back down a bit. For now, we are loving cold teethers, and fingers best of all for soothing those gums, and nursing a little more often at night (seems like teeth coming in disrups sleep a bunch too!)
Some more fun things P-Man started doing:
* Screeching and squealing (loving the sound of his voice)
* Laughing (he loves when we nibble on his ribs, when Sparty lays his head on his belly, and when we play "Peek-a-boo"), and it is so cute!
* Really watching his puppy ALL the time. He just loves him and Sparty is pretty crazy for him too, although I think Sparty isn't quite sure what to do when he screeches just yet (I think he thinks he might start crying or something). He loves to pet and pinch Sparty, pull out his wiskers and check out his teeth (good thing Sparty just lays there and loves on him)
*We've been rolling over for a while now but we are really starting to do it a LOT and he loves to roll towards Mom, Dad, or Sparty when we play on the floor.
* Pushing up on his belly, when he tolerates tummy time enough to do so.
* LOVES standing and bouncing. He will stand against the couch for a few seconds before we start tipping over. He has such strong legs!
* loves his exersaucer, jumperoo, and trying to sit up (which also causes spit up). He hold his head up when I lay him down and does curls to try and get back up himself. He is also really good at keeping his neck up when I pick him up by his hands. SO strong!
* Loves gabbing Momma's hair, holding our cheeks, chins and noses, and putting his hands in our mouths.
Tonight Parker gets to go to his 2nd Loons game and he's preparing by taking a good nap this afternoon (much needed because of the lack of naps lately) . . . .getting close to 2 hours now! YAY!
Life pretty much revolves around our little man, and we couldn't dream of it anyother way right now. We know what a gift it is to be parents and what a great responsibility God has given us in raising Parker. :) What a grea job!
My other job is coming to an end (for the school year) and I am ready to spend the summer with my little guy. We are excited to get to go back to Mommy/Baby class, visit the nature center, go to the pool, go on walks, and meet some new friends too! We'll be making some more baby food (and eating it VERY soon) and probably do some playing and organizing in the basement too (it HAS to be done and things HAVE to be donated because it is one giant storage room!) I'll miss my preschoolers, but it is time for a break and a summer with my little man! :)
I hope you all are having a great weekend!
