11 months

Parker Lee . . . you are 11 months old today!

Here is what you are up to at 11 months:
~You are about 24-25 lbs and about 30-31 inches

~You wear size 4 diapers still, size 4 or 5 shoes, and 12/18/24 month clothing (we are pretty close to growing out of a LOT of your 12 month things and wear mostly 18 or 24 month tops and mostly 12 month bottoms, but you are starting to get too tall for them.

~You have 4 teeth still, but have been teething off and on again and I think some more bottom ones may be close to coming in

~You LOVE cruising along furniture and practicing walking. You can take some steps by yourself using your truck walker or other walker . . . but are getting more tricky on your two feet all the time

~You still love reading, and will ask for "more" books again and again until you are ready to move onto the next thing.

~This month you learned to sign "more" then "eat" then "all done" (which you say "ah dahn"), and have started saying "pzzzzzz" and are trying to sign it ("please"). You say Momma, Daddy, Ella (for Bella the cat), Teee (Tree), keeey (Kitty), and can also sign "dog". You say "Hi!" and "ho" when you put a phone to your ear. You jabber all the time and we know it won't be long before you are saying more and more words.

~You are a picky eater lately . . . really wanted to feed yourself everything. You are loving practicing using a spoon to feed yourself and are actually pretty good at getting things into your mouth with one too (mashed potatoes are the easiest to practice with). You usually eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a snack or two also. You are drinking more cow milk now and seem to like a lower fat kind versus Vitamin D (which made your belly really hurt) and Dr Frye said that was find because you are one healthy boy. You love to eat cheese, bread, crackers, grilled cheese, french fries, yogurt melts, cereal puffs, cheese puffs, cookies, and you even snuck your first M&Ms (stinker . . .you are more like your momma than you realize!). You have tried some new finger foods this month, as you don't want people to feed you very often so we are working more and more on chunks of fruit and veggies and you do pretty well. You have started only drinking one bottle during the day and drinking the rest of your milk out of a sippy cup . . . you are getting so big and love giving yourself drinks.

~You love matching things out of your toy bin, cars, animals, flash cards to toys, shoes, socks, puzzle pieces . . . you are so very smart!

~You had your first Christmas this past weekend and loved ripping the paper off presents, and you must have been a good boy because you got LOTS and LOTS of presents.

~ You still love to snuggle, smooch, laugh, and think your mommy and daddy are pretty silly.

~You have started a not so nice habit when you are told "no" or something is taken away from you . . .you like to smack that person in the face. We hold your hands and tell you "nice hands".

~You like to shake your finger at one of the animals when we tell them "no no" and you sometimes say "no no no no" while you shake your finger.

~You point at everything and want everything labeled. You love exploring the world :)

Parker, we can't believe how quickly the past 11 months have gone, and are amazed everyday at the things you pick up and learn. You are such a smart, funny, sweet, loving little boy. We can't wait for your first birthday and every other first through your eyes. Love you little man :)
