Parker Lee . . .you are 2 months old!!!
(Okay so 8 weeks today and 2 months on Saturday but we'll be in/on our way to Texas, and I don't think I'll be blogging in the car . .and since your mom likes to be early . . .)
(A little Tiger/Spring Training love for Great Grams! His daddy just HAD to get a set of Tigers onesies.)
Here is what you're up to at 2 months:
You love smiling, and it makes my day. You smile when you see your daddy or I, a happy/kind face, or your puppy. It is the sweetest.
You wear size 1 diapers
You are wearing 0-3 month or 3 month clothing. Your long arms and legs poke out of a lot of outfits which is why you wear many 3 month outfits
You weigh 11 pounds
You love squeeling/talking when we have face time together. I imagine you are just trying to tell me how beautiful and funny I am.
You are getting SO strong. You love to sit with a big strong neck. You even rolled over a few times this past weekend! You are liking tummy time for longer periods of time.
Some of your favorite things: the ceiling fan, looking out the window at the sunshine, fresh air and walks, snuggling with mom and dad, your swing, blankies, eating, bath time and dancing around the house with mom.
You are so funny when you sleep, you wiggle about every 4 minutes, adjust how you are sleeping, often sleep with your mouth open or hands up by your face (you are SO your father's son).
You take at least 2 big naps every day (often 3 or 4), and often sleep for 1.5-2.5 hours during naptime.
You eat 2.5-3 ounces in a bottle, and CAN go for 3-4 hours between eating (but often don't like to do so)
You make the funniest noises . . . like clearing your throat (makes me think of SJP in "The Family Stone" every time you do it! Ha ha!), and smacking your lips.
You don't like to get buckled into your car seat, but LOVE car rides; which is a very good thing since you are about to embark on your first BIG (Texas sized) road trip.
You got to try yogurt this month, and love it! You will be a pro by the time you get to eat cereal. Thanks Dr. Frye for the recommendation . . . Parker LOVES his little yogurt spoonful each day.
Parker, you are getting so big, so fast. You've changed so much since you came home from the hospital, and your personality just shines. You are a happy boy, and a great baby. You have a great set of lungs too, and love to let us know what you need. You can make real tears and have the saddest pouty face which kills me! You are the best gift God has ever given us, and we love you so much little man!
Time goes so fast! Before you know it, he'll be 12 years old and texting at the dinner table. Oh wait! That's MY DAUGHTER!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI totally feel like I am reading about Gavin when I read your blogs! He is so much like Parker....especially the long legs/arms thing and DEFINITELY the sleeping with his mouth open and arms/hands by his face! And I LOOOOOVE the Tigers outfit! I am ordering some online for Gavin, even though he won't be able to go to a game for a while, at least he can support the team!
