9 months

Hudson Thatcher, you are 9 months old today. Three more months until you a 1!!!!! Time needs to slow down. Here is what you are up to at 9 months.

You are 22lbs and probably about 30/31 inches. Your official 9 month well check is in two weeks, but we actually had to make an extra trip today, because you broke out in a rash on your arms and legs. Turns out you have an ear infection. No fever, no sleep disruptions, just all of a sudden a rash. We got your first dose of antibiotics.

You wear size 12 mo/12-18mo clothes. You wear size 3 shoes but will be wearing bigger soon, a 4 fits pretty well, and you love to look at those shoes. You wear size 4 diapers.

You love to eat. You mash everything with your gums so well, and still have no teeth. Some of your favorite breakfast foods are toast, yogurt, fruit, eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, and water. For lunch or dinner you love crackers, cheese, french green beans, corn, carrots, peas, every kind of fruit, shredded chicken, grilled cheese, beans.....you love food! You'll tolerate mushed foods, but love to feed yourself. You take your milk in a sippy cup with a snack at daycare instead of taking any bottles, big boy! You still love nursing, and your momma is thankful for no teeth;)

You went from crawling, to speed crawling and into everything in about 1 week. You pull up on your knees, and are experimenting on all 4s sometimes too (kind of like you are doing yoga). You try to get into everything! You love the tupperware cupboard and pantry and your brother loves to join in the mess.

You love chasing Parker around. This has been a big adjustment in sharing toys he didn't know you could get to, but he is also learning how to share even better as a result. You love crawling around searching for your "bra-bra", you'll practically yell it just to find out where he is and then join him. Your favorite place to play is Parker's room.

You love to clap and wave. You light up when your Da da gets home everyday. You love music and singing, a favorite is Pat-a-cake right now.

You are a pretty good sleeper. You go down between 7 and 8 and have slept as late as 5 by yourself. You usually wake at least once. You are typically up for the day between 6 and 7. You take 2-3 naps, 45 minutes to 2 hours, and average is about an hour. You often fall asleep folded in half for your naps and I come in and lay you down, or you are most often on your belly to sleep during naps and side or belly at night. You sleep with a sleep sack at daycare and blankie at home.

You love your blankies and paci still. You actually will drag your blankie around the house with you as you play. Precious!

You love to crawl under the kitchen table, play with animals, cars, read books, and do whatever your brother is going. You love making music, listening to music, and love the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

You are a babbling machine, and drool machine still!

You are such a sweet boy. We love you so much buddy!
