Here is what you are up to at 10 months:
- I'm guessing about 30 1/2 to 31 inches, 23 1/2 ish pounds (When we had your well check two weeks ago you were 30.5 inches and 23 lbs 2 oz. 90th and 95th percentiles....)
- You wear 12 -18 month clothing, but a lot of 12 month stuff won't fit much longer you tall boy. You have arms and legs for days I guess :) You are wearing size 4 shoes. You wear size 4 diapers.
- You are a fairly regular-scheduled nap guy. You go down between 9 and 10 for about an hour to hour and a half nap. You take your second nap between 1 and 2 for 1 to 2 hours. You still demand bedtime between 7 and 8 every night. You have slept through the night many times, but we THINK you are actually getting teeth and have been a little more restless. You'll wake up and whine sometimes but fall back to sleep most always by yourself. You are up for the day between 6 and 7.
- You nurse 4 times a day when you are with me all day, or twice a day when I am at work and take one sippy cup full of milk during a morning and afternoon snack. You still love milk and sign in when I ask if you want milk. You also started smacking your lips when you think something sounds yummy or you are hungry. Silly silly boy!
- You eat three meals. You LOVE food. You'll do toast, pancakes, waffles, muffin, cereal, cereal bar, eggs, sausage, yogurt, and every kind of fruit for breakfast favs. Some lunch and dinner favs are french style green beans, cheese, crackers, bread, soup, pasta, chicken, loved diced up fruit and finger veggie (except for broccoli . . if you see that on your tray you are sad the rest of the meal . . . but will take it chopped very finely in sauces). You pretty much eat everything we offer you, and mash everything up so well . . .despite no teeth!
- You are jabbering and signing all the time. Your first sign was "cracker" and that followed by the Ca-cah sound to say "cracker" and cahhh (car). You love saying Mama, Dada, BraBra, etc. You keep trying to say Uh-oh. You sign all done, more, and milk. Smart little cookie! You try to keep up with your big brother and I'm pretty sure can be louder than him when you choose. :)
- You love books. You'll bring me book after book after book. Some favorites are, "Are you a Cow?" and "Blue Hat, Green Hat" by Sandra Boynton, any book that has "Peek a Boo" or flaps, and anything with animals.
- You love singing "Pat a cake" and clapping to every kind of music. I think one of your favorite things to do with your brother is play instruments together.
- You love cars and making vrooming and engine noises as you drive them. You can scoot yourself backwards on your little riding cars and think that is so funny. You love watching cars and trucks drive by and you love when the bus comes to get the kids for school at daycare.
- You started pulling up on things to stand right as you turned 9 months. You get up and down, cruise along things, have started to walk around (very slowly) while pushing various riding things around. You love standing in the play kitchen, pulling up on the couch and chairs, and trying out everything you can stand on. You are a speed crawler. You've stood alone for a few brief seconds too.
- You loooooove being outside. I tried getting some pictures of you yesterday and you were too busy with everything outside that you couldn't stop to take pictures. You are not afraid to cruise in the grass, pick grass, try to eat leaves and sticks, and would play in water all day if I let you. Every time we let Sparty out to go to the bathroom you think you need to go out too; you'll sit and bang at the window and just make yourself known.
- You love your blankies and pacis still. You love bath time and splashing and "cleaning" the entire bathroom in the process. It is sometimes very hard to let you and Parker bathe together because you have so much fun splashing together. You are at the most wiggly stage ever when it comes to getting diapers and clothing . . . too much to see and do.
- You had your first ear-infection that required two doses of antibiotics to get rid of. Your hair is getting thicker and you still have beautiful eye-lashes. You look so much like your daddy!
- You are serious, determined, silly, sweet, demanding, patient, loving and snuggly. We can't believe in two months you will be one year old! Time to get planning that birthday! We love you little buddy!
