My sweet Hudson, you are one whole year old. I can't believe how fast that year went.
I was looking through pictures to get ready for your birthday party, and it seems like only yesterday we brought you home from the hospital and then I can hardly remember what it was like to carry around that tiny little bundle. You have grown month by month, and are so much fun.
Here is what you are up to.....
- about 24-25 lbs and about 31-32 inches
- wear size 4 diapers
- wear size 5 or 6 shoe
- wear 18-24 month clothes
- you currently have 2 teeth, one top and one bottom, but I think the other two will be in very very shortly and you'll soon have 2 little sets
- you got your first hair cut last week, and were so good. You just needed a little off around your ears and in the back
- you took your first steps this month, then a few days before Halloween you took your first set of FIVE steps, now you are pretty close to walking across the room, when you feel like it. You have a big brother to keep up with ;)
- you sign quite a few words - more, eat, drink, hot, cracker, milk, thank you and all done.
- you are saying quite a few things too: Mama, Dada, Brabra, part (Sparty), Craka(cracker), ahhhh ha (yeh haw), you make some good animal noises too (monkey, duck, doggy), bah bye. You love to say "ho" when you pay with a phone, shake your head no when you know you shouldn't be doing something, and love to blow kisses.
- you love books still, and love songs. You love doing the motions to Pat-a-cake, itsy bitsy spider, and twinkle twinkle little star.
- you are still a good eater, but you are starting to get an opinion about what you per or don't. You love Momma's milk in the morning and at night, but otherwise drink regular milk like a champ.
- you were the easiest baby ever to get off the bottle. I started giving you it in your sippy cup this summer and we haven't had a bottle since.
- you love your paci and blankie still, and you are a little snuggle bug
- you are starting to really let us know your opinion about everything, and loudly at that. You can throw a pretty good tantrum little man.
- your favorite toys this month have been Parker's talking Woody doll, hence the yeh haw, and pushing around trucks you can walk behind, and of course boxes. You love your big brother, and you guys get along about 85% of the time;)
