6 months

Parker Lee, you are 6 MONTHS OLD today!!! It is hard to believe (once again) that you are already this old, but it is SO fun watching you grow! Here is what you are up to at 6 months!

You are a happy boy. You love to smile, blow razs, talk and squeel all the time. You started doing a funny fake coughing thing last month and do it pretty much everytime you see your puppy or kitties or when get really excited about something.

You love looking at fingers and toes, your own and everyone elses too. You really love looking at the bright colors on my toes, so I try to have them painted just for you.

You chew on things ALL the time, and have two teeth! They look so cute in your little mouth! We always have multiple teethers and toys for you to chomp on.

You LOVE animals; love reading about animals, looking at animals, petting them (and pulling out hair because you get so excited) hearing animal noises, and any song that has animal noises, but Old McDonald is still your favorite. It calms you down instantly when we sing it still.

You are about 20 pounds, and I would bet about 27 inches

You wear size 3 diapers

Your are wearing 9 month clothes mostly, but can wear some 6 month, or 6-9 or 6-12 month clothes.

You LOVE the water, and love bathtime, I think if you could be in there all day long you would.

You still love to read and look through books. You do such a good job turing the pages! Big boy!

You still a typically a cat-napper through the day, usually up for 2-2 1/2 hours then down for 30-45 minutes . . . occasionally you'll take a good 1, 1 1/2 or even 2 hour nap but maybe once or twice a week.

You usually go to sleep between 8 and 9:30, depending on your naps through the day, sleep until about 1 or 2, then sleep again until about 5, or sometimes sleep until morning.

You have eaten all different kinds of homemade babyfood now, and here is how you like them: broccoli (hate)

squash (love)

carrots (like)

sweet potatoes (love)

potatoes (tolerate)

peas (hated the texture of homemade ones but tolerate jar a little more)

green beans (same as peas)

apples (love)

bananas (love)

mangoes (love)

plums (like)

peaches (love)

apricots (like)

You like all your cereals (rice, oatmeal and barley)

and LOVE your yogurt

You also started eating puffs and yogurt melts, and are getting used to different textures and chewing a little more each day. Way to go little man!

You are eating about 2-3 ounces at breakfast (fruit and cereal, sometimes with yogurt), about 2-4 ounces at lunch (a veggies and fruit usually), and 2-5 ounces at dinner (fruit sometimes with cereal, and veggie, and sometimes a little yogurt in there too)

You can drink like a pro out of a sippy cup, and love water in them!

You drink milk about 5-6 times each day, or take a bottle with about 4-5 ounces

You started rubbing your ears when you are mad or tired, and really rub those eyes when you are sleepy

You love being outside, watching tree, watching and hearing animals, watching cars drive by, going on walks and just being in the grass and sunshine.

You are SO good at sitting up by yourself, and love to scoot backwards on your belly. You are starting to push your belly in the air and can even get on your knees sometimes too. Strong boy!

You are such a good snuggler, and love giving kisses and hugs back. I LOVE that!

You are such a special boy, and you are changing before our eyes. You have so many tricks and I know you'll be learning many more in the months to come. We are SO blessed to be your parents, watch you grow, and help lead you on the path God has planned for you. We love you little man!
